Dowdy Student Stores host T-Shirt Sales to benefit local pediatric cancer programs

ECU Dowdy Student Stores recently presented checks for $2836 to Camp Rainbow and Riley’s Army. These two organizations were the beneficiaries of #GoGold T-shirt sales in September, which is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month and October. The fundraiser was the latest in the series of Cool Tees for a Cause shirts in which $4 from each shirt sold was split between the two organizations.

Riley’s Army is very blessed and thankful for #teamgeorgia’s donation. Sweet Georgia’s light continues to shine bright and touch so many people. To learn more about #teamgeorgia- go to www.anchorbeads.com.

Riley’s Army Donation to Camp Rainbow

Riley’s Army will sponsor to send 10 Oncology children to Camp Rainbow June 15th-20th, 2014. There is no cost to the children to attend camp; however it costs $825 per child to send to camp. Riley’s Army also hosted a Camp Rainbow Supply Shower in May- with the help from volunteers, Soccer Teams, Churches, Businesses, and other nonprofits- we were able to collect a huge amount of needed items the Camp Rainbow will need for campers. Camp Rainbow is dedicated to providing free camping experiences to children undergoing treatment for, and survivors of, cancer and other blood-related diseases and disorders. Their mission is to provide a recreational and nurturing environment, under the supervision of a dedicated team of staff and medical professionals, where these children can create positive memories, build self-esteem, make new friends and are relieved of the everyday stresses caused by their illness.
